Obituary of Yeo, Ernest Carl
The death occurred peacefully with family by his side at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I., on Tuesday, March 27th, 2018 of Ernest Carl Yeo of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 73 years. Ernest was born in Harmony, P.E.I. to the late Carl and Lucy (Campbell) Yeo. Beloved husband of Carole (nee Acorn) Yeo and loving father of Dale (Nin), Chad (Jodi), Troy (Michelle) and Adam (Crystal). Lovingly remembered by his 6 grandchildren Sarah, Jessie, Kelsey, Logan, Landon, and Ryker.
Survived by his brothers and sisters Russell (Marjorie), Betty (Wally) Yanchyk, Roger (Janet), William (Marsha), Jerry (Mary Lou), Allison, Carleen Bickle and Jim (Naleena), mother-in-law Marjorie J. Ramsay and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Ernest was predeceased by his brothers and sister Carmen (infancy), Lillian and Arthur.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. A Celebration of Life will be held on July 17, 2018, in the Victoria West United Church, Victoria West at 11:00 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ernest's memory to the Victoria West United Church or Cemetery would be greatly appreciated. Family and friends are welcome to join the family at the home of William and Marsha Yeo following the interment.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
