Obituary of Gallant, Rose Mary
The death occurred peacefully at the Summerset Manor, Summerside, P.E.I. on Saturday, February 3rd, 2018 of Rose Mary Bernice (nee Arsenault) Gallant of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 101 years. Rose was born in Egmont-Bay to the late John and Bella Arsenault.
Beloved wife of the late Fred Gallant and loving mother of Edward (Thelma) Gallant, Mary Gallant and Freddie Gallant. Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Cindy (Rick) Stewart and Christopher (Allison) Gallant and her great grandchildren Matt and Leaham.
Survived by her sisters Evelyn Arsenault, Evangeline Gallant, Theresa Gaudet, Mary Arsenault and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Rose was predeceased by her daughter Joyce Gallant and several brothers and sisters.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Tuesday, February 6th, where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in St. Paul's Church Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations in Rose's memory to the Summerset Manor would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Monday evening from 6 - 8 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
