Obituary of Cooling, Howard "Howie" Roland
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Saturday, January 6th, 2018 of Howard "Howie" Roland Cooling of Summerside and formerly of Charlo Station, NB, aged 77 years. Howard was born in Charlo Station, NB. to the late Harry and Pearl (nee Irvine ) Cooling.
Beloved husband of the late Wendy (nee Milligan) Cooling and loving father of Randy (Effie), Barrie, ON, Scott (Kathy), Northam, PE, step-children Paula (Michael) Trowsdale, Bideford, PE and Charles "Chuck" Howell, Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by his 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren.
Survived by his sister Avis Carmichael, NB, sisters in-law Pat, Burlington, ON, Marilyn, NB and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents and wife, Howie was predeceased by his brothers William "Bill", Allison, Donald and Gordon, brother in-law John Carmichael.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Wednesday, January 10th,where a Celebration of his Life will be held in the funeral home chapel 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations in Howie's memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Palliative Care Unit Prince County Hospital would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Tuesday evening from 7 - 9 p.m.
Summerside Legion Branch # 5 will hold a Service of Remembrance on Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
