Obituary of Rogerson, Harry James
The death occurred peacefully with family by his side at his late residence on Monday December 11th, 2017 of Harry James Rogerson of Summerside, aged 68 years. Harry was born in Halifax, N.S. to the late Gordon and Peggy (nee Fleet) Rogerson.
Beloved husband of Gale (nee Marchbank ) Rogerson and loving stepfather of Darcy Folland and Stacy (Sherry) Folland. Also lovingly remembered by his 2 grandchildren Drake (Molly) Folland and Dallas (Brittany) Folland, 2 great grandchildren, Kiyah and Brooklynn.
Survived by the following brothers and sisters Audrey (Victor) MacLoad, Northam, P.E.I., Robert (Susan) Rogerson, Shirley Spence, Gloria Rogerson, Karen Rogerson all of Summerside, brothers and sisters in-law Doris (Bob) Farris, Donna (John) Robinson, Sherrel Wadman, Debra (Jake) Gallant, Terry (Randy) Oatway, Nancy, Goldie and Jocelyn Marchbank.
Besides his parents, Harry was predeceased by his brothers Victor and Sterling, David, Peter and Paul (infancy), nephew Jody MacLeod, daughter in-law Kimberly Folland, brothers and sisters in-law Leigh Wadman, Mike Gallant, Sandra (Carl) Reeves, Wayne (Nancy), Dale and Kerry Marchbank.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Thursday, December 14th, then to the Summerside Baptist Church where A Celebration of his Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations in Harry's memory to Summerside Boys and Girls Club or Summerside Salvation Army would be greatly appreciated. By personal request there will be no vising hours held.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
