Obituary of Gallant, Judy Mary
The death occurred peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, P.E.I. on Thursday, November 9th, 2017 of Judy Mary (nee Harper) Gallant of Summerside and formerly of Tignish, P.E.I., aged 63 years. Judy was born in Tignish to the late Claude and Blanche (nee Doucette) Harper.
Beloved wife of Ernie Gallant and loving mother of Brenda (Barrie) Gavin, Valerie (Brian) McNutt and Malcolm (Meagan Toole) Gallant. Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Lexi, Dexlan, Quinn and her grand fur puppies Annabelle, Mooki, Koda and Meeka .
Survived by her brothers and sisters Marjorie (Albert) Jeffery, Carmilla McHugh, Clifford (Shirley) Harper, Beatrice Arsenault, Donald (Mary) Harper, Warren (Dianne) Harper, Peggy (Harold) McCarthy, brother in-law Nelson Shea and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her sister Shirley Shea, brothers in-law Freddie McHugh and Edward Arsenault.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Monday, November 13th, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Judy's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or East Prince Hospice would be greatly appreciated. By personal request there will be no visiting hours held.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
