Obituary of Bridges, Leo Alfred
The death occurred peacefully with family by his side at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, P.E.I. on Friday, January 21, 2022 of Leo Alfred Bridges, aged 82 years. Alfred was born in North Enmore to Clara Bridges-Connors.
Beloved husband of 61 years Reby Jean Bridges (nee Oatway), father to Heather (Jim) Publicover, Leo (Karen) Bridges, Judy (Brian) Westcott, Cheryl (Michael) Gray, Elwyn (Jennifer) Bridges, Michelle (Michael) DesRoches. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Kelly, Nicole, Jennifer (Coughlin), Tiffany, Lola-Jean, Larissa, Branden, Kylie, Joe (Bridges), Jimmy, Kate, Jackie (Publicover), Angela, Amanda (Gray), Jayda, Ty, Luke (Smith-Bridges) and Logan DesRoches, great-grandchildren Tyson, Summer, Autumn, Richard, Winter, Carson, Clara, Cayden, Jasper, Tallulah and Teeguann, brother Winston, many nieces and nephews, many foster grandchildren from Ontario, his favourite boy Cyrus and his best friends Blair & Betty Strongman.
Predeceased by his mother Clara, sister-in-law Lola Bridges, brother-in-law Raymond Oatway and grandson Terry Coughlin.
Resting at East Prince Funeral Home 245 Pope Road, Summerside. Due to Covid 19 restrictions a funeral service will be held at a later date. Interment to take place at a later date in the Freeland Presbyterian Church Cemetery, PE

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
