Obituary of DesRoche, Joan Verna
The death occurred peacefully with family by her side at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I., on Sunday October 1st, 2017 of Joan (nee Waddell) DesRoche of Borden Carleton, P.E.I., aged 77 years. Joan was born in Cape Traverse to the late Clarence and Helen (nee Darrah) Waddell.
Beloved wife of Fred DesRoche and loving mother of Gary (Angelika), Steven (Vanda), Roger (Elaine) and Mike (Susan). Also lovingly remembered by her 11 grandchildren James, Sandy, Nathan, Patrick, Elena, Olivia, Louanne, Matthew, Dylan, Hope, Max and 7 great grandchildren Destiny, Mya, Charlie, Thomas, Rachel, Bryce and Liam.
Predeceased by her daughter Louanne (in infancy), her sister Shirley and brothers Roger and Allison.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. A private funeral service will be held at a later date. Donations in Joan's memory to the P.E.I. Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
