Obituary of Richard, Norma Margaret
The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, P.E.I. on Thursday, Sept. 21st, 2017 of Norma Margaret Richard of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 72 years. Norma was born in Summerside to the late Myrick and Florence MacKenzie.
Loving mother of Barb (Kevin) Murphy, Steve (Carol) Richard. Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Craig and Chad Murphy, Josh and Lee Richard as well as several nieces and nephews.
Survived by her brothers Charlie (Judy) MacKenzie and Burton (Patsy) MacKenzie. Predeceased by her sister Hazel (Jim) Gray and brother Garth MacKenzie.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Monday, Sept. 25th for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 4:00 p.m. Interment to take place in the Cape Traverse United Cemetery. Visitation on Monday from 2:00 - 3:45 p.m. Donations in Norma's memory to the PEI Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
