Obituary of Hooper, Ruby Jeannette
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Friday, September 8th, 2017 of Ruby Jeannette (nee Henderson) Hooper of Charlottetown, P.E.I., aged 87 years.
Beloved wife of the late Dawson "Hoody" Hooper and loving mother of Debi Voye and Paul Hooper (Ann Marie Arsenault). Loving grandmother to James, Jared, Kathryn Voye (Scott Newlands) and Katie Marie Hooper.
Survived by her brothers and sisters Shirley, Fran, Paul, Phil (Georgina), brother in-law Harvey, sisters in-law Betty and Blanche and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Ruby was predeceased by her brothers and sisters Vera (Harry), Arthur, Kathleen and Ian (Alma), son in-law David Voye and brothers in-law Bernie and Les, sister in-law Mildred "Mim".
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Tuesday September 12th, where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment to take place in Floral Hills Memorial Garden, Pleasant Valley. Memorial donations in Ruby's memory to the David Roland Voye Memorial Bursary Trust would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Tuesday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
