Obituary of Richard, Sylvina Marie
The death occurred peacefully with family by her side at the Summerset Manor, Summerside, P.E.I. on Sunday January 9th, 2022 of Sylvina Marie Richard (Arsenault) of Summerside and formerly of Mont - Carmel, P.E.I., aged 86 years. Sylvina was born in Urbainville, P.E.I. to the late Amédée and Evangeline Arsenault. Beloved wife of René Richard and loving mother of Marcel (Colette), Claude (Erma), Donald (Terri), Gerald (Michelle), Yvonne (Marcel) and Gilles (Grace). Also lovingly remembered by 10 grandchildren Daniel (Heather), Denis (Jessica), Anne (Nate), Joe (Brittany), Brianna (Ryan), Christien (Keara), Anique, Chantal, Rachelle (Andrew) and Marc André (Allie), 2 great grandchildren Theo and Dawsyn.
Survived by her brothers and sisters Joe (Camilla), Elva Gallant, Albain (Loretta), Alfred (Janita), Ernest, Leonard (Diana), Alice Burbine, Raymond (Doris), Elmer (Marie) and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her brother Alphonse (Rita), brothers and sisters in-law Raymond Gallant, Eva, Léona and Bill Burbine and great grandson Luc Denis Richard.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside. Due to Covid 19 restriction a private funeral service will be held, by invitation. Interment to take place in St. Paul's church cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations in Sylvina's memory can be made to the Chez Nous or the Alzheimer's Society. Funeral Service will be live streamed on St. Paul's Facebook page Friday, January 14th at 11:00 a.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
