Obituary of Poirier, Reginald Matthew
Poirier: The death occurred peacefully at Prince County Hospital Summerside, PEI on Thursday January 6, 2022 of Reginald "Reg" Matthew Poirier of Summerside, aged 85 years. Reg was born in Summerside to the late Cyrus and Julia Poirier (Blacquiere).
Beloved husband of Laurie Ann (Bernard) Poirier and loving father of Trudy (Brian) Adams, Kevin (Sheila), Randy, Timmy (Marilyn), Blair (Patsy). Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Vanessa, Becky, Katie, Ashley, Chelsey, Brett, Taylor, Makayla, Brandon, Jeffery, Stephanie, Adam, David, step grandchildren Julien, Jocelyn, Chelsea, Caleb, Ashley, Johnny, Laurie, Chantelle and by numerous great grandchildren.
Survived by his sister Lilly (Irving) Arsenault.
Predeceased by daughter Susan Poirier, son Scott, sister Marie (Ron) Duval, and sister-in-law Sally (Doug) Demont.
Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, PE. Due to covid 19 restrictions a private funeral service will be held, by invitation. Internment to take placed at a later date in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside. Donations in Reg's memory to the PEI Humane Society, or Alzheimer's Society of PEI.
Funeral service will be live streamed on the East Prince Funeral Home Facebook page on Wednesday, January 12th at 10:30 a.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
