Obituary of Goode, Marcella "Mary"
The death occurred peacefully surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer at her late residence on Tuesday, May 9th, 2017 of Marcella Marie "Mary" Goode (nee Richard) of Summerside, aged 68 years. Mary was born in Mont Carmel, P.E.I. to her late parents Stanley and Demerise (nee Arsenault) Richard.
Beloved wife of Gerald Goode and loving mother of Carla Goode (Jason). Also lovingly remembered by her three grandchildren Dustin, Devon and Dylan, two great grandchildren Keenan and Jace and numerous nieces and nephews.
Survived by her brothers and sisters: Aldine (Cedric) Gallant, Mont Carmel; Alyre (Aldine), St. Raphael; Lumina (Phil) Arnold, Brampton, ON; Oscar (Tina), Celina (Everett), Adrien, all of Summerside; her brother and sisters-in-law Linda (John), Janet (Rob) and Robert (Gema), all of England.
Besides her parents, Mary was predeceased by her brothers Alfred and Cyril Richard, mother and father-in-law George and Beatrice Goode, brother and sister-in-law Carl Goode and Valerie Smith.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Monday, May 15th, then to St. John the Baptist Church, Miscouche for a funeral mass at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mary's memory to the Palliative Home Care program would be greatly appreciated. By personal request, there will be no visiting hours held.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
