Obituary of Evans, James Edward
The death occurred suddenly at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Sunday, March 19th, 2017 of James "Jim" Edward Evans of Summerside, aged 68 years. Jim was born in Glace Bay, N.S. to his father James and his mother, the late Jean (nee Ryan) Evans.
Beloved husband of Karen (nee Arsenault) Evans and loving father of Jaime (Todd) Richard of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by special family member Carrie (Todd) MacLean of Montague, his grandchildren Evan and Gina Richard, Christien Gillis and Connor MacLean along with numerous nieces and nephews. Survived by his sister Wendy Evans (Ron MacDougall) and his brother Brian Evans, all of Summerside.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside where visiting hours will be on Friday, March 31st from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. By personal request, there will be no funeral service held. Memorial donations in Jim's memory to P.E.I. Humane Society or the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
Following visiting hours on Friday evening, Jim's family would be honoured if you could join them at St. Eleanor's Fire Hall for a time of fellowship and refreshments at 9:00 p.m. This will be a time to share stories, listen to music and have a toast to celebrate Jim's life.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
