Obituary of Sutherland, Robert "Corey"
The death occurred peacefully at his late residence on Monday, March 13th, 2017 of Robert "Corey" Sutherland of Long River, P.E.I. and formerly of Seaview, P.E.I. aged 46 years. Corey was born in Summerside to his father the late Gordon Sutherland and his mother Barbara (nee MacLeod ) Sutherland.
Loving father of Andrew MacDonald and his mother Mary MacDonald.
Survived by his brother and sisters Lynn Bulger (John Graham), Kenny, Cynthia, Libby (Eric Buchanan), Marla (John) Bernard, mother and father-in-law Louis and Donna MacDonald, sister in-law Beth MacDonald, special niece Melissa Costain (Pat) and several nieces and nephews.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Friday, March 17th, where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 P.M. Interment to take place in the Malpeque Presbyterian Cemetery, Malpeque at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Corey's memory to the funeral expense fund would be greatly appreciated. By personal request there will be no visiting hours held.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
