Obituary of Cormier, Betty Pauline
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Wednesday, February 8th, 2017 of Betty Pauline Cormier (nee Stewart) of Kensington and formerly of St. Eleanors, P.E.I. , aged 68 years. Betty was born in Summerside to her late parents, Erville and Hazel (nee Campbell) Stewart.
Beloved wife of the late Alfred Cormier and lovingly remembered by her daughter Sheila (Jason) Simmonds of Kensington, special grandson A.J. Cahill, and step-children Terry, Jean, Alfreda (David Gonzalez), Merlin (Kate), Allison (Pauline), Laurena (Brian Taylor), Anne (Garth Wood) and Gary (Judy). Also remembered by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Survived by her sister Josephine Lewis.
Besides her parents and her husband, Betty was predeceased by her step-children Carl, Joanne Rayner, Donna White and Paul, her sisters Agnes Green, Laura Green, Mae Barlow, Annie MacCormack and her brothers Carl and James Stewart.
Family and friends are invited to Celebrate Betty's life at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside on Saturday, February 11th, 2017 from 2 - 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Betty's memory to Meals on Wheels, Summerside would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
