Obituary of O'Brien, Richard Gerard
The death occurred peacefully at home with his wife Donna, son Richard and family by his side on Tuesday, December 21st, 2021 of Richard "Ricky" Gerard O'Brien of Summerside, P.E.I. aged 62 years. Ricky was born in Summerside to the late Ivan O'Brien and Winnie MacDonald.
Beloved husband of Donna (Hippenstall) O'Brien and loving father of Richard O'Brien (Jody) and step-father to Joey Hippenstall (Bianca) and Danielle Hippenstall (Nick). Also lovingly remembered by his 8 grandchildren. Survived by his brother Peter O'Brien (Monica), brother-in-law Paul Hippenstall (Annette) and sister-in-law Marlene Dixon (Kent). Predeceased by his parents Ivan O'Brien and Winnie MacDonald.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, a private funeral service will be held at the East Prince Funeral Home Chapel, Summerside, by invitation only. Interment to take place in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
