Obituary of DesRoches, Judy Dianne
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Friday, September 23rd, 2016 of Judy Dianne DesRoches (nee Morrison) of Summerside, aged 66 years. Judy was born in Summerside, P.E.I. to her late parents, Albert and Ora Morrison .
Beloved wife of George DesRoches and loving mother of Amanda (Brody Jenkins) and Susan. Lovingly remembered by her special grand daughter Ella Jenkins.
Survived by her sisters Donna (Wensell) MacLeod, Corinne Birch brothers and sisters-in-law Catherine (Dan), Diana (Calvin), Donna (Todd) Swim, Brent and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Judy was predeceased by her sister Dale Palmer and sister-in-law Lesa DesRoches.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Monday September 26th, where a funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 a.m. Interment to take place in the Searletown Cemetery, Searletown. Memorial donation in Judy's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Sunday from 2 - 5 p.m.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
