Obituary of Doucette, Helen Lillian
The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Tuesday, August 2nd, 2016 of Helen "Dusty" Lillian Doucette (nee Malik) of Summerside, aged 79 years. Helen was born in New Waterford, N.S. to her late parents Martin and Monika (nee Salat) Malik.
Beloved wife of the late Robert Francis Doucette and loving mother of Nikki (Gerard) Moulins, Carol (Ivan) Johnson, Joey (Tammy) and Linda Doucette. Also lovingly remembered by her seven grandchildren Jonathan, Chelsea, Andrew (Tasha), Chris (Stacey), Ben (Megan), Nicole, Charlie and six great grandchildren Casey, Kane, Cruz, Blakely, Reegan and Lennon.
Survived by her brother and sisters-in-law Ernie (Jean) Doucette, Anna Doucette and sister Beatrice (Paul) LeClair.
Besides her parents and husband, Helen was predeceased by her brother Sylvester; sisters Viola (Carroll), Justina (Steve), Margaret (Ron) and brothers-in-law Don and John (Jean) Doucette.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Friday, August 5th from where a service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment to take place in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside. Memorial donations in Helen's memory to the PCH Foundation or PEI Humane Society would be greatly appreciated. By personal request, there will be no visitation held.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
