Obituary of Rogers, William Allison
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on July 7th, 2016 of William Allison Rogers of Summerside, aged 78 years. Allison was born in Indian River, P.E.I. to his late parents William and Lillian (nee Simmons) Rogers.
Beloved husband of Lillian (nee Praught) Rogers and loving father of Catherine Roger (Brian Prendergast), Carol (Danny) Martins, Shelley (Elston) Farmer and Kenneth (Laura MacDonald). Also lovingly remembered by his 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Survived by his brothers Alfred (Harriett), Ralph (Alma), Jim (Marion), Wayne (Caroline) and sisters Vera (John) Dekker, Eileen (Brian) Hubley and Rita (Alley) DesRoche as well as many extended family members.
Besides his parents, Allison was predeceased by his sisters and brothers-in-law Dorothy (Fritz) Dyke and Marion (Elwood) Crozier and Brian Hubley.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Monday, July 11th, then to St. Patrick's Church, Grand River for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. By personal request, there will be no visiting hours held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Allison's memory may be made to the PCH Foundation.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
