Obituary of Pineau, Eugene Wallace
The death occurred peacefully at his late residence on Sunday, February 21st , 2016 of Eugene Wallace Pineau of Summerside, P.E.I. aged 78 years. Beloved son of the late Peter and Rosella (nee Arsenault) Pineau.
Survived by his brothers Ivan of Summerside, Vernon (Marion) of Summerside, Douglas of Amherst, N.S., Earl (Rickie Ann) of Kinkora, his sister Cynthia Duff (Andrew) of Stittsville, ON. and his sister-in-law Marie Arsenault of Slemon Park. Also lovingly remembered by numerous nephews and nieces.
Besides his parents, Eugene was predeceased by his brother Ronnie, his sisters Bernadette Gallant (Edmond), Evelyn Burke (Alfred), Chris Buteau (Greg), and Theresa Malone (Phil) and sister-in-law Leona Pineau.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Thursday, February 25th, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations in Eugene's memory to Community Connections, Summerside would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Wednesday, 5 - 8 p.m. only.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
