Obituary of DesRoche, Thelma Mary

The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I., on Saturday, January 2nd, 2016 of Thelma Mary DesRoche (nee Gallant) of Summerside, aged 86 years. Thelma was born in Mont Carmel, P.E.I. to her late parents Stanley and Jacqueline Gallant. Beloved mother of Edmond of Summerside, Emmett (Pat) of Edmonton, AB., Nancy Gallant Matthew (Wayne), Gary (Ella), Leo (Sandra) all of Summerside, Brian (Anne) of Linkletter, Ernest Junior (Debbie) of Calgary, AB., Philip (Deanna), Allan all of Edmonton, AB., and James (Ruby) of Summerside. Predeceased by their father Ernest J. DesRoche. Survived by her sister Florence Arsenault of Mississauga, ON., her 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Thelma was predeceased by her son Paul DesRoche her daughter Susan Butler and her brother Leo Gallant. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Thursday, January 7th, for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 2:30 p.m. Interment to take place in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours on Wednesday evening only, 5 - 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Thelma's memory to the Alzheimer's Society of P.E.I. or the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
