Obituary of Gallant, Gerald Francis
The death occurred peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Summerset Manor, Summerside, P.E.I. on Sunday October 11th, 2015 of Gerald Francis Gallant of Summerside, aged 83 years. Gerald was born on Kelly Road, P.E.I. to his late parents Sylvain and Mary Ann (nee Arsenault) Gallant.
Beloved husband of the late Doreen (nee McNeill) Gallant and loving father of Theresa Grady (James) of Hamilton, ON, Sharon MacDougall (Jimmy) of Grand River, Janet Ross (Chris) of Summerside, Gerry (Tracy) of Cambridge, ON., Gail Johnston (Bill) of Summerside and Jason (Melissa) of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by his 16 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents and wife, Gerald was predeceased by his sisters Lena Gallant and Rita St.Onge, his brothers Albert, Leo, Leonard, Melvin and Fred.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Thursday, October 15th, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the Church Cemetery. Memorial donations in Gerald's memory to the Summerside Salvation Army Food Bank would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Wednesday 2:30 - 4:30 and 7 - 9 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
