Obituary of Gaudet, John Joseph
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Saturday September 12th, 2015 of John Joseph Gaudet of Summerside and formerly of Miscouche, aged 71 years. John was born in Miscouche, P.E.I. to his late parents Peter and Marguerite (nee Arsenault) Gaudet.
Loving father of Shelley Gaudet (Steve Szcyepkowski) and Sabina (Jeff) Beaner all of Quebec. Also lovingly remembered by his 4 grandchildren Jamie, Nikki, Hailey and Lindsey. Survived by the following brothers and sisters Pauline Blacquiere, Linda (Dale) Yeo, Kenneth, Betty (Leo) Poirier, Brenda (Leo) LeBlanc, Nancy (Leonard) Coombs, Dianne Gaudet, Karen (George) MacKenna, Richard and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, John was predeceased by his brother Eddie and brother-in-law David Blacquiere.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Tuesday September 15th, then to St. John the Baptist, Miscouche for a funeral mass at 3:00 p.m. Interment to take place in church cemetery. Memorial donations in John's memory to the St. John the Baptist Cemetery fund would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Monday evening only, from 6 - 8 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
