Obituary of Savidant, Eunice Edna
The death occurred peacefully at Clinton View Lodge, Clinton, P.E.I. on Tuesday, August 25th, 2015 of Eunice Edna Savidant (nee McCabe) formerly of Summerside, aged 83 years. Eunice was born in North Carleton, P.E.I. to the late Eugene and Mary (nee McCarville) MacCabe.
Survived by her sisters Phyllis Koughan of Charlottetown and Mary (Louis) Trainor of Summerside. Also remembered by nieces and nephews Blair and Brian Koughan, Dorinda, George (Marg), St.Clair, Greg, Sheila, Trevor and Jillian Trainor.
Besides her parents, Eunice was predeceased by brothers Leo, Ivan, Austin; sisters Mary and Theresa; brother-in-law Elmer Koughan; nephew Eugene Koughan and niece Eunice Trainor.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Thursday, August 27th, then to St. Paul's Church for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in St. Malachy's Cemetery, Kinkora. Memorial donations in Eunice's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the St. Malachy's Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Wednesday evening only, from 6 - 8 p.m.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
