Obituary of Huestis, Opal Eileen

Opal Eileen Huestis (nee Ward), aged 87 years, passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Saturday April 18th, 2015. Opal was born in Berwick, N.S. to her late parents Wilbur and Ina (nee Gould) Ward. Beloved wife of Earl James Huestis and loving mother of Eileen (Ross) Ramsay of Smiths Falls, Ontario. Also lovingly remembered by her 4 grandchildren Julie (Kevin) Ingleby, Melanie (Derek) Miedema, Nicole (Darren) Salmond, Gloria (Josh) Foster and 10 beautiful great grandchildren. Besides her parents, Opal was predeceased by her two sisters Doris and Vivian. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Tuesday April 21st, for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 2:30 p.m. Interment to take place in Smiths Falls, Ontario at a later date. Memorial donations in Opal's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Salvation Army. Visiting hours on Tuesday from 1:30 p.m. until time of funeral.
