Obituary of Cotton, Luella Jean
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her loving family at the Summerset Manor, Summeride, P.E.I. on Friday February 27th, 2015 of Luella Jean Cotton (nee Wood) of Summerside, P.E.I., in her 100th year. Luella was born in Traveller's Rest, P.E.I. to her late parents John and Ruby (nee Sweet) Wood.
Beloved wife of the late Lawson Cotton and loving mother of Ruth Lecuyer and Bruce Cotton. Also lovingly remembered by her 7 grandchildren Kathy,Kevin, Korey and Kendall Cotton, Patti Nelson, Carol McKee and Paul Lecuyer, 9 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Survived by the following brother and sisters Pearl Thompson, Velda MacDonald, Evelyn Callbeck and John Wood.
Besides her parents and husband, Luella was predeceased by her brother Lloyd Wood, son-in-law Shorty Lecuyer, grandson Kent and Kenny Cotton, brother and sister Claude and Mildred (Toddlers).
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Wednesday, March 4th from where the funeral service will be held at 2:00p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment to take place in People's Cemetery, Summerside at a later date. Memorial donations in Luella's memory to Canadian Diabetes Association, the Summerside Salvation Army or P.E.I. Alzheimer's Society would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hour Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
