Obituary of MacAusland, Clinton Lloyd
It is with great sadness the family of Clinton Lloyd MacAusland, age 56 announces his passing on Saturday, November 8th , 2014 at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside surrounded by his loving family. Born in Summerside, P.E.I., he was the son of Gerald and Jean (nee MacKay) MacAusland. Clinton will be fondly remembered by his loving wife Ameila (nee Laking) MacAusland of 37 years, four daughters Noella (Shawn) Roberts, Amanda (Jason) O'Brien, Amy (Shone Cornish) and Tiffany (Jeremy Butler). He was a proud papa to Bailey, Kelsi, Chloe, Madalyn, Colby and Chandler.
Survived by his brothers and sisters Geraldine (Steve) Dixon, Darrell (Anne), Lee (Phyllis), Tammy Alizadeh (Paul), Geoff (Jennifer), Twila (Gerald) Arsenault, April (Blair) Marsh, Grammie MacKay and 4 brothers in-law, 1 sister in-law and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Always remembered by his special pet Sandy.
Clinton was predeceased by his brother Thane and his mother and father in-law Calvin and Frances Laking.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Wednesday, November 12th, then to the United Pentecostal Church, Summerside for a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Interment to take place in People's Cemetery, Summerside. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Clinton's memory to the funeral expense fund would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Tuesday, 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
