Obituary of Malone, Philip Patrick
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by his loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Wednesday, October 22nd, 2014 of Philip Patrick Malone of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 83 years. Philip was born in Kirkland Lake, Ontario to his late parents, Lawrence and Mary (nee Gagne) Malone.
Beloved husband of the late Teresa Pineau and loving father of Brenda Hickox (Gary) of Summerside, Debbie Albert (Serge) of Sudbury, ON., and David (Cindy) of Florida, U.S.A.. Also lovingly remembered by his brother Rod Ellison (Debbie) of B.C., his 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law.
Besides his parents and his wife, Philip was predeceased by his brothers Bill and Edward, his sisters Kay Teeple and Liz Will and other brothers and sisters in infancy. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Saturday October 25th, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m.. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in Philip's memory to the Alzheimer Society of P.E.I. would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Friday evening only, 5 - 8 p.m..

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
