Obituary of Tremere, Mary Elizabeth "Betty"
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Monday, October 20th, 2014, of Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Tremere (nee Barrett) of Summerside, and formerly of Borden-Carleton, aged 81 years. Betty was born in Wheatley River, P.E.I. to her late parents Reagh and Christine (nee MacLeod) Barrett.
Beloved wife of the late Lawson Tremere and loving mother of Joy (Dave) Farish, Judi (Charles) Coughlin, Danny, John "Jack", Barry, and Ted (Shelley). Lovingly remembered by her eight grandsons Jason (Trudy) and Jeremy Read, Matthew and Kristoffer Coughlin, Zachary and Joshua Tremere, and Nicholas and Clay Tremere as well as three very special great-grandchildren, Quinn, Griffin and Sophie. Betty is survived by her sisters Thelma (Ralph) Cruwys and Gertrude Barrett as well as her sisters-in-law Marilyn Barrett and Eleanor Tremere and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and parents, Betty was predeceased by her granddaughter, Jamie and by her brother, Jack.
Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Wednesday, October 22nd for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley. Memorial donations in Betty's memory to the Hospice Palliative Care Association of P.E.I. (East Prince) would be greatly appreciated. By personal request, there will be no visiting hours held.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
