Obituary of Rogers, Mary Winnifred
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her loving family at the Wedgewood Manor, Summeride, P.E.I. on Thursday, October 16th, 2014 of Mary Winnifred Rogers (nee McLellan) of Summerside, P.E.I. and formerly of Carleton, P.E.I., aged 80 years. Mary was born in Bedeque to her late parents Edward and Edith (nee Sharkey) McLellan.
Beloved wife of the late Clifford Rogers and loving mother of Debby Malone, Donnie (Amy), Deanna (Iggy) Landry, Beverly (Billy McCarville) and David (Laurie). Also lovingly remembered by 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is survived by her brothers Charles, Wesley (Opal), Austin (Melvina), Leonard (Hazel) and sister in-law Judy.
Besides her husband and parents, Mary was predeceased by her brother Stuart, grandson Shannon and granddaughter Katelyn (in infancy), daughter-in-law Joan, sister-in-law Gloria and son-in-law Barry.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Tuesday, October 21st, for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment to take place in Lower Bedeque United Church Cemetery, Lower Bedeque. Memorial donations in Mary's memory to the Lower Bedeque United Church Cemetery would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Monday 2:30 - 4:30 and 7 - 9 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
