Obituary of Pidgeon, George Lee
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by his loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Tuesday, October 14th, 2014 of George Lee Pidgeon of Summerside and formerly of French River, P.E.I., aged 77 years. George was born in Park Corner, P.E.I. to his late parents Arthur and Halletta (nee Burt) Pidgeon.
Beloved husband of Mary (nee Davidson) Pidgeon and loving father of Evelyn Jollimore (Glenn), Ann DesRoche (Clifford), Cheryl Gallant (Tim) and Lee Pidgeon (Cora Lee). Also lovingly remembered by his 6 grandchildren Russell, Blake, Jordan, Kyle, Matthew and Jillian, his 2 great-grandchildren Addison and Makayla and several nieces and nephews. Survived by his sister Linda Sims and sisters-in-law Ann Reynolds and Pat Davidson.
Besides his parents, George was predeceased by his father and mother-in-law Donald and Evelyn Davidson and brothers-in-law George Sims, Paul Davidson and Joe Reynolds.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Saturday, October 18th for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m.. Interment to take place in Geddie Memorial Cemetery, Springbrook. Memorial donations in George's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Friday, 3 - 5 and 7 - 9 p.m. .

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
