Obituary of Miller, Dallas Joseph
The death occurred peacefully at Prince County Hospital on Friday, August 29th , 2014 of Dallas Joseph Miller of Summerside, P.E.I. and formerly of Montreal, Quebec, aged 60 years. Dallas was born in Gaspe, Qc. to his late parents Lawrence and Margaret Miller.
Beloved husband of Carol (nee Blanchette) Miller and loving father of Stephanie Miller (Darren Chatoor) of Montreal, Qc. and Christopher (Shalane Hendrickson) of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by his 2 grandsons Ty and Hunter, his in-laws Jean Paul and Barbara Blanchette of Montreal, Qc., his brother and sister-in-law Stephen Blanchette (Judy Johnston) of St. Hubert, Qc. and several nieces and nephews. Survived by his sisters and brothers Bernice Rooney (Curtis) and Ward (Lorraine) all of Cornwall, On., Lois Carignan (George) of St. Eustache, Qc. and Doward (Paulette) of Ontario.
Besides his parents, Dallas was predeceased by his brother Henry. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Thursday, September 4th , for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations in Dallas's memory to the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince County Hospital would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Wednesday, 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
