Obituary of Cutcliffe, Wendell Earl
REVISED FUNERAL TIME DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER
The death occurred suddenly at North Tryon, P.E.I. on Thursday, March 27th , 2014 of Wendell Earl Cutcliffe of Augustine Cove, P.E.I., aged 76 years. Wendell was born on February 4th , 1938 in Cape Traverse, P.E.I. to his late parents Harold and Janet (nee Nicholson) Cutcliffe.
Survived by the following brothers and sisters: Bea Patterson (Doug) of Oxford, N.S., Lois Thompson of Augustine Cove, Alger (Elizabeth) of New Glasgow, N.S., Donna Livingstone of Cornwall, Liz Flack of Cornwall, Lynda Gardiner (Sheldon) of Cape Traverse and Hazel Thompson of Crapaud. Also lovingly remembered by his brothers and sisters-in-law Paul Dawson, Ruth Cutcliffe, Margaret Cutcliffe and Max McLean and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, Wendell was predeceased by his brothers Gordon, Bryon and Gerald Cutcliffe and sisters Eleanor Dawson and Adele McLean.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until WEDNESDAY, APRIL 2nd, then to the Crapaud Gospel Hall, Crapaud for a funeral service at 1:00 p.m.. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Wendell's memory to the Crapaud Gospel Hall Building Fund would be greatly appreciated.
Visiting hours at the Crapaud Gospel Hall on Wednesday, from 12:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m..

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
