Obituary of Adie, Robert John

The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on March 11th, 2014 of Robert John Adie of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 90 years. Veteran of World War II. Robert was born on August 3rd, 1923 in Birmingham, England to his late parents Thomas and Gertrude (nee Butlin) Adie. Beloved husband of the late Doris Claire Adie (nee Lefebvre). Loving father of Shannon, Melanie and Cherylann. Step-father of Robert, Michael and Linda Paquette. Also lovingly remembered by numerous grand children, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Survived by his sister Vera Cotterill of England. Special friend Michael and special pet Wiley. Besides his parents, and wife, Robert was predeceased by his son Richard and brother Tommy. Resting at the East Prince funeral Home, Summerside. By personal request, there will be no funeral service or visiting hours held. Memorial donations in Robert's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
