Obituary of Rodgerson, Glenn Eldon
Peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Monday February 17th, 2014 of Glenn Eldon Rodgerson of Lower Freetown, aged 80. Beloved husband of Kay (nee Greenan) Rodgerson. Born in O'Leary on November 5th, 1933, Glenn was the son of the late George and Rillie (nee Bernard) Rodgerson.
Survived by his daughters Glenda (Ian) Rodd, Cindy Rodgerson and Michelle Cheverie. Also by his step-sons William (Kylie) and Steven (Tara) Malayny, brothers Gordon (Eva) and Lorne, sisters-in-law Dot, Olga, Viola and Theresa Rodgerson, Nancy O'Malley, Rita White, Anne and Judy Greenan.
Predeceased by his sister Isabel Harvey, brothers Fred, Leroy, Emmerson and Alfred, brothers-in-law Gerald, Edwin, George, Harold and Alan Greenan.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Thursday, February 20th, then to the Immaculate Conception Church, Brae for a funeral Mass at 2:00 p.m. By personal request, there will be no visiting hours held. Interment to take place in the church cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations in Glenn's memory to the Brae Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
